VERO and restricted products
VERO and restricted-product rules are shared safety controls. They are different from a personal Blocked Products entry.
VERO protection identifies products or brands that should not proceed through the normal listing workflow. A product can be marked during research or rejected by a later live check.
If a product is VERO:
- Item Finder and Automator should exclude it.
- Import List creation or fresh posting can reject it.
- Allowing a personal block again does not make it eligible.
Restricted products
Section titled “Restricted products”Restricted-product safety can use current supplier/product rules, including title or category signals. A stored Item Finder card may show the last trusted result, while a later write-time check can use current rules.
This means an older product card can remain visible briefly but still be rejected before Import List or posting.
Stored decisions and live checks
Section titled “Stored decisions and live checks”| Stage | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Item Finder card | Fast display using the last trusted product state |
| Automator discovery | Fast candidate filtering |
| Import List write | Current authoritative eligibility check before staging |
| Fresh posting | Recheck before queueing and creating a listing |
| Final eBay boundary | Last protection before an external add request |
What to do after a rejection
Section titled “What to do after a rejection”- Do not repeatedly retry the same product.
- Do not attempt to bypass the result through manual URL add, restore, or repost.
- Remove a failed draft if it no longer has active work.
- If you believe the product was classified incorrectly, contact support with a sanitized product URL and the visible reason.
Do not send marketplace credentials, tokens, or private account data.
