Archive, restore, and repost

Archived Products keeps product history separate from active My Products. Archiving is not the same as a personal block or a shared safety restriction.

Archive

A product can enter archived state after removal or another lifecycle action. Archiving preserves a record that can support later review or an eligible add-back workflow.

Check the external eBay listing before assuming that a local archived state ended it. If removal failed, the live listing can remain active.

Restore or add to Import List

A normal archived add:

1. Checks that the product is not already active in Import List or My Products.
2. Checks current capacity and source eligibility.
3. Rejects an active personal block.
4. Rechecks VERO and restricted-product protections.
5. Creates a new Import List row only if every check succeeds.

The result is a draft, not a live listing.

Unblock and add

When an archived product shows Excluded from sourcing, use Unblock & add to Import List only when you intend both actions.

The operation rechecks block, presence, capacity, and safety together. If any check fails, the block stays active. Even after an unblock, VERO or restricted-product protections remain authoritative.

Repost or renew

A repost creates fresh listing work and therefore passes current fresh-post checks. It is not a revision of the old listing.

Before reposting:

• Confirm the source product and variation still match.
• Refresh price and availability.
• Review title, images, description, category, and item specifics.
• Confirm current eBay policy selections.
• Verify that no duplicate listing already exists.

Avoid duplicate presence

Product presence is computed from active Import List and live posted-product state. If a removed or failed row appears to keep a product unavailable, clean up only through the supported Import List or listing action so presence can be recomputed correctly.
